Taxi provides point to point service & with seats carry a maximum 4 passengers. Taxi can be hailed on the street or summoned by phone. All are metered, air-conditioned and clean with Taxi Driver Identity sign displayed on the dashboard. Taxi fare information is listed on the inside of the taxi & able to provide a receipt on request.
All taxis can go to & from the Hong Kong International Airport. Taxis come in different colours to indicate their area of service:
Red:
Operate in most of Hong Kong
(except for Tung Chung Road and the south side of Lantau Island)
Green:
Operate the rural areas of the New Territories
Blue:
Operate on Lantau Island only
